Lower Back Pain

“At Bernard McGowan Physiotherapy we love to treat your backs!”

Low Back, the first time… or recurring?

Lots of Causes… Let us diagnose. That's what we are here for.

Low back pain is the most common injury that often requires time off work.

It can be very disabling and recurrences of further and worse episodes are common.

Don’t ignore back pain!

Luckily most back pains are self healing in nature. Within a day or two everything seems to have settled. But then next time you do something a bit more strenuous, it is back again! Maybe even worse.

The statistics show that 90% of people over 25 y.o.a. will have lower back pain. 80% of these will suffer from recurrences. Recurrences often get more frequent, more uncomfortable and lasting longer.

Back pain should be treated as if it is our body’s alarm system. When it goes off, it means that we did something wrong and you definitely have to change something so you don’t keep hurting your spine and do more damage.

Prevention of recurrence of low back pain is the best cheapest and easiest treatment.
