  • Special Offer For Telehealth Consultations During COVID-19 Pandemic

what can you expect?

We pride ourselves on providing EVERY patient with a thorough assessment process of their concerns and a comprehensive management plan that combines

easy to understand explanations and expert advice and an Expert Treatment with "At Home" exercise and movement prescriptions (Including PhysiApp).

Dispite the on-going restrictions of COVID-19, fortunately we are able to offer online physiotherapy through Telehealth as an alternative to attending consultations, which has been proven to be as effective as face-to-face physiotherapy for appropriate injuries and with capable clinicians. Where is service is needed, we will be using an application called Cliniko - this will allow private and confidential video conferences with your physiotherapist.

Medicare rebates The Australian Government has announced that allied health providers that deliver Chronic Disease Management (CDM) eligible services can now do so via Telehealth.

Private Health Fund rebates Health funds will be offering rebates for allied health services that can be delivered by Telehealth for Physiotherapy.

We are excited to offer this new service to our clients and will be continuing this service long after this crisis, in order to assist people in remote locations or who have difficult schedules.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1.     Book your appointment (online or by phoning the clinic).

2.     Download ‘Physiapp’ (used for client/patient) from App Store OR open in your browser. It is FREE.

3.     Ensure you have a good internet connection.

4.     At time of appointment you will receive an email with a code and link.

5.     Click on link to open in browser OR enter the code in the ‘Physiapp’ application.

6.     You will be connected with your therapist.

7.     Admin will send you an invoice – kindly pay by direct deposit quoting invoice number or call to pay by credit card over the phone.

PLEASE call us if you are having any difficulty with the above.

WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL I NEED?

·          A clear space to move around freely, preferably distraction free.

·          Access to a good internet connection.

·           A PC computer, laptop, tablet or mobile phone.

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE ANY OF THOSE THINGS (SUCH AS LANDLINE ONLY) OR I’M JUST NOT COMFORTABLE WITH VIDEO CHAT?

We can still help. Our physiotherapists are well experienced with receiving frantic calls from friends who have hurt themselves on the slopes of the Swiss Alps, or a relative from interstate who has hurt their back doing some gardening! We are happy to take phone calls.

CAN YOU OBTAIN A REBATE FOR TELEHEALTH SERVICES?

YES! Telehealth is rebatable by health funds!

Here at Parkside Physiotherapy Centre we are taking all necessary measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 and would appreciate your cooperation.
