Thorough Assessment, Comprehensive Management, Explanation in plain language and an Expert Treatment.

Fortunately we are able to offer online physiotherapy through Telehealth as an alternative, which has been proven to be as effective as face-to-face physiotherapy for appropriate injuries and with capable clinicians. We will be using an application called Cliniko - this will allow private and confidential video conferences with your physiotherapist.

Medicare rebates The Australian Government has announced that allied health providers that deliver Chronic Disease Management (CDM) eligible services can now do so via Telehealth.

Private Health Fund rebates Health funds will be offering rebates for allied health services that can be delivered by Telehealth for Physiotherapy.

We are excited to offer this new service to our clients and will be continuing this service long after this crisis, in order to assist people in remote locations or who have difficult schedules.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1.     Book your appointment (online or by phoning the clinic)

2.     Download ‘Physiapp’ (used for client/patient) from App Store OR open in your browser. It is FREE.

3.     Ensure you have a good internet connection.

4.     At time of appointment you will receive an email with a code and link.

5.     Click on link to open in browser OR enter the code in the ‘Physiapp’ application.

6.     You will be connected with your therapist.

7.     Admin will send you an invoice – kindly pay by direct deposit quoting invoice number or call to pay by credit card over the phone.

PLEASE call us if you are having any difficulty with the above.

WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL I NEED?

·       A clear space to move around freely, preferably distraction free.

·       Access to a good internet connection.

·       A PC computer, laptop, tablet or mobile phone.

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE ANY OF THOSE THINGS (SUCH AS LANDLINE ONLY) OR I’M JUST NOT COMFORTABLE WITH VIDEO CHAT?

We can still help. Our physiotherapists are well experienced with receiving frantic calls from a friend who has hurt themselves on the slopes of the Swiss Alps, or a relative from interstate who has hurt their back doing some gardening! We are happy to take phone calls.

CAN YOU OBTAIN A REBATE FOR TELEHEALTH SERVICES?

YES! Telehealth is now rebatable by health funds!

Here at Parkside Physiotherapy Centre we are taking all necessary measures to stop the spread of COVID-19 and would appreciate your cooperation. Therefore we ask all patient to wear a facemask during their appointment.

With this in mind, please DO NOT attend the practice if you are unwell, have flulike symptoms, have travelled overseas in the last month, or have had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

Keep our Practice safe!

  • Keep 1.5 m distance from others, including reception! Because this practice is a small practice, we advise that only actual patients should enter the building if possible. We ask accompanying persons to wait outside or in the car.
  • Please allow extra time for disinfecting the treatment areas.
  • Please wear a face mask when attending your treatment at the practice.
  • if you need to sneeze, please use a tissue or the cloth in the bend of you elbow. if you can't get a tissue in time, wash your hands straight after! Don't touch anything!
  • Washing hands with water and soap is enough. You do not need to use hand sanitiser on top of it.

Should you require an appointment, but are unable to attend the practice, (or would prefer not to), we are very happy to arrange a Skype consultation and we can have a video chat.

Please phone our reception team on 4632 6233 for assistance in arranging this or to discuss your query.

All our physiotherapists (PTs, physios) are fully registered in Queensland and are APA members. Each physio is experienced and has undergone specialised training and achieved additional postgraduate qualifications in orthopaedic and spinal care.
